Welcome Guys and Gals,
Last Star is a low budget independent film that takes place at the very end of time and space. Join us on a journey as we unshackle ourselves from the bonds of reality and take flight with the wings of imagination to discover the wonders of the cosmos and the mysteries of the Last Star.
Beyond Saturn and it’s sentry moons, across the stella void and past the Andromeda and Triangulum galaxies we continue to drift till we stand at the very edge of the cosmological expansion.
The arrow of time has all but run it’s course, the once bright Universe is now a cold black void. Only one star remains though it to is dying, it’s life sustained artificially by the great Sun ships of a race known as the Vali.
Like a watering hole in space the Last Star attracts the desperate, dying and malevolent remnants of those civilizations still left in the vast cosmic dark. When such civilizations emerge from the void the result is seldom peaceful, thus the Vali find themselves in a constant state of war.
Amidst all this turmoil lies a single planet encased by an impenetrable shield and shrouded in mystery, it’s reason and purpose unknown even by the Vail, however as a new threat emerges from the Void a Vali fighter pilot finds himself transported to the mysterious planet where he must face the prospect of being the linchpin that brings about the destruction of his entire race.
Prophecy of Taul the Last Star.
Extract from the Book of the Vali written at the dawn of the final age 9th migration.
Song of Suns
Life was young, the sky was bright, I believed in every word then one by one the lights went out their voices never heard. Strong arms that cradled fell away and darkness did descend, the roots of loneliness sank deep time had reached its end.
From fingertips a new light shone I begin to understand, the light was never mine to take only mine to give. In quiet places empty spaces I now can finally see, with fragile branches stretching out I will shelter thee.
Driven by a passion of science fiction and storytelling Last Star was first conceptualized in 2009. Completely self funded we rely on many wonderful and talented people who have generously volunteered their time to help make this dream a reality.
My Humblest thanks – John Ratcliffe (Director)
